"I am a genuine, down to earth guy with a welcoming sense of humor. I have a very eclectic taste in music and movies and always interested in trying something new. I've spent a lot of time and energy on my education, and I am very proud/pleased with the result. I enjoy skiing, golf, happy hours, little known musicians, coffee, wine and traveling (especially if it contains the aforementioned items). "
Her:
"I enjoy meeting open minded people who enjoy exploring new places and trying new things. Anyone who is easy-going, sociable, and loves to laugh will get along great with me."
A few fun facts about Me:
- At 17, I considered myself a commercial fishing prodigy.
- I'm a published author. Granted, in academia, but the day isn't over.
- Yes, I am also a grad student, ironic, since I have my Master's Degree, but I love to continue learning.
- When I receive my doctorate in 2 years, yes, people will have to call me "doctor", even though I won't be the kind that helps people.
- I am an experienced kickballer.
- I once got a chance to tell John Stewart a joke. I am not sure if he REALLY liked it, but, at worst, I got a courtesy laugh.
- I've lived in Alaska, and I am thankful for every single day that is over 32 degrees!
- My passport contains one stamp for lovely Montreal, Canda and Santo Domningo, Dominican Republic.
- Despite being a Steelers and Penguins fan, I cheer for the Nats in baseball.
I've been finding new ways to stay active, including kickball and flag football teams through Sport and Social (we didn't win the sport, but we always won the social). In the winter I tend to play racquetball and basketball instead.
