I am a positive, social guy who sees the bright side of (almost) every situation. I thought I would give this site a try because my career (Primary Education) is somewhat taking over my life and, little known fact, my older brother met his wife off of this site. Some people have a stigma towards online dating, I think this is somewhat unfounded. Experience has shown me that great people can look and find other great people online (my family included). Side note, I don't get why people ask "What's your catch?" or "why is a guy like you on POF?" That question, I feel, is reflective on how you view yourself spefically and you view online dating in general (if you think you need to have a catch to use online dating... and you are using online dating...).
moving on (got a little awkward there..), I don't take life too seriously. That doesn't mean I don't work hard for the things I want to achieve, or that I am apathetic towards "serious" issues, I do, only... none of us get out of here alive so... we might as well engage with friendship, love, play, games (not the drama kind) and really enjoy.
What am I looking for? Too many people have a goal of being in a "serious" relationship... wow.. that sounds as much fun as death and taxes.. Personally, work and bills are "serious" enough. I am looking for a "fun" relationship... because if a relationship isn't fun... what's the point? I'm not one for the bar scene, intimacy before commitment, or casually dating a bunch of people at once. If either of us isn't sure there is something worth investing in after the first 3-4 dates.. lets be friends. I'm looking for someone who I can have fun with... take out to dinner, see a movie with, explore a new city, text throughout my day, and go one adventures/random wild goose chases with. I want us to think of things neither of us have done before, that is just a tad outside our comfort zones, and then dare one another to do it.
What am I looking for in someone?
I am very open. Throughout my life I have dated; taller women, shorter women, skinner women, curvy women.. while I am attracted to shorter women with average, athletic, or smaller builds... I am much more attracted to women who I can have a lot of fun with.
I want someone who is respectful of people's; differences, advantages/disadvantages, abilities, and challenges. I am not always the softest, gentlest, thoughtful person (I grew up in a house of men)... So I am also looking for a woman who is more on the feminine side. Someone who is sensitive, soft, caring, and gentle.. Someone who, while i may come into conflict with at times, makes me stop and consider a different perspective. Someone I can grow with and because of... and someone who believes in giving 2nd (because, honestly, I'll need a few).
I am looking for someone who has completed the meat and potatoes of their education and is now actively participating in their career. I like the idea of dating someone who works with children, education, or social work.. that being said, however, if you are passionate about your job and love what you do... it's all gravy.
I value saving money... I know, not fun... but money has always been important to me. At the end of every month I feel better knowing that I am worth more now then I was when the month started. That doesn't mean I don't like spending money, that's what its there for... It does mean, however, that I live (and plan on always living) below my means. That being said, I am also the kind of guy that enjoys nice things. I would much rather buy an expensive nice shirt than buy 3-4 shirts on sale.
Training. I love going to the gym and trying new types of meals plans. I'm not Mr. buff guy... I probably never will be :(.. but going to the gym will always be a part of my life. No matter what's going on, I have a commitment to go to the gym 4-5-6 times a week.
